Another sure sign that Spring has sprung here in the Allegheny National Forest region is the return of the beloved leek. Be sure to check out LeekFest 2024 at CJ Spirits in Kane this Saturday 4/27 for a full day of live music, leek inspired dishes, new LeekFest merch, and of course leek vodka. Who will take home bragging rights for the best leek dip? Live music all day starting with Randy Andreano 12-3, GrooVe Brothers 3:30-6:30, and MOJO DOGS on the outdoor stage 7:30-10:30pm. Starting at 5pm @Pizza Napoli & Restaurant Food truck will be onsite; new item on the menu – Leek Pizza!
Advice from Trail Central: With leek sausage sandwiches, leek scallop potatoes, leek soup, and rigatoni with leek sauce on the menu – eat, drink, and be merry but don’t forget the breath mints!

With the smoothest dance moves on the ground and in the air, the American Woodcock is a sight to behold. Experience one of the wildest mating rituals among North American birds at the Kinzua Bridge State Park, Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m.
ADVICE FROM TRAIL CENTRAL...Any bird`s mating ritual that is described as spiraling higher and higher, twittering louder and louder until it finally turns back with a soft liquid warble before swooping to its original dance floor is something you need to see.

Did you know there are just over 300 Drive-In Movie Theaters left in the USA? The Kane Family Drive In has been entertaining the Allegheny National Forest region since 1952. Opening for the season this weekend April 26/27 with two epic blockbusters Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire and Ghostbusters Frozen Empire. Prices for both movies are $7 for adults and older children and $3 for children (3-12) and Seniors.

Planning a trip to the Allegheny National Forest next week? Check out this festival on your way. The 23rd Annual Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous in Ridgway, PA will be held April 24-27. This year the Rendezvous will feature over 100 carvers from around the world. There will be live carving, live music, crafters, beer/wine. Admission for adults will be $5.

If you haven`t had a sandwhich from The Grocery Stretcher - New in downtown Bradford, you haven`t really lived, friend.
