At our Center for Brain Health we’re using evidence-based interventions to prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions.

Our neurosurgeons are utilizing the latest in minimally invasive brain surgery technology to target previously inoperable brain tumors, resect aneurysms and minimize seizures. The NNI at Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is a global treatment destination for advanced brain tumor treatments such as minimally invasive trans-sulcal port brain surgery, conscious/awake brain surgery, and expanded endonasal skull base surgery.

Our team continues to conduct groundbreaking research to measure outcomes, offer new neurology services, and ultimately determine the DNA causes of these debilitating conditions.

There are more than 70 physicians on staff at the NorthShore Neurological Institute working together every day to diagnose and treat complex conditions involving the brain, spine and peripheral nervous system. Our neurologists, neurosurgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, neuropsychologists, neuroradiologists and neuropathologist  provide a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to patient care and the coordination of services.

Parallel with the Neurological Institute’s focus on diagnosis and treatment is our commitment to neurological research and the advancement of the field of neurology. For a number of our programs, we are conducting clinical trials that allow patients to benefit from cutting-edge diagnostics, the latest neurological treatment options and novel therapies to improve function. 

We also strive to educate the brightest minds of tomorrow. NorthShore is the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and many of our physicians hold faculty appointments.
